Post Secondary Information

Grade 12 students will receive a brief explanation as to how the post-secondary application process is organized.
A- Colonel By will upload information to OUAC (Ontario University Application Center) for each university-bound student's application information. This information includes personal data as well as grade 11 and 12 courses (and grades) completed up to September 2017. The same information will be sent to the Ontario College Application Center (OCAS)
B- Grade assembly information session, University and College presentations, Parent information sessions, and the University Information Program sessions will take place throughout October.
C-Personal Access PIN will be sent to Colonel By for each student.
D- Students pursuing a College Pathway can go directly to and begin the planning process.
E- When students log into OUAC with their PIN, they will be able to begin the process of applying for Ontario Universities.

University Admissions presentations:

Beginning in September and running into late November, post secondary colleges and universities will be making lunch-time presentations to students in room 215 (lecture theater). Representatives come from across Canada and the United States. Students are asked to review the calendar on the bulletin board outside of guidance and to check Twitter (@ColBy Guidance) or REMIND app for updates. New colleges and universities are added to the list weekly. For information regarding University and College Open Houses, we ask that you check the bulletin board outside guidance or the individual school websites.

Colonel By Post-Secondary Information sessions:

October 18th period 2, the Student Services team will give a full period presentation to ALL grade 12 students regarding post-secondary application procedures.

An additional presentation will take place in the evening of October 24th for any interested parent. This evening will begin at 5:00 pm in the school's cafeteria.

University Information Program:

Colonel By Secondary School is pleased to host 21 Ontario universities in the evening of October 24th from 6:15 pm to 8:30 pm. The community is invited to discuss post secondary opportunities with university admissions representatives.
